I created this blog to use as a chronicle for getting my home in order.

I love Marla Cilley, aka FlyLady, and her program for taking care of home and family.  She tries to break many of the habits we’ve created over the years, including—or most importantly—the habit of perfectionism that paralyzes us from action. I’ve been on her mailing list a couple times, but decided to unsubscribe, mainly because I’m trying to make my life simpler.  I think I understand her program well enough to adapt it to me.

Starting her program is a little daunting.  If you go to the website, you’ll see the first page is crazy-long.  There’s so much crammed onto the that page that’s geared to people at all stages of the “program,” it’s rather overwhelming.  And since many of the people who need her help are “all or nothing” thinkers, they feel they have to do everything.  Or, like me, they just get so confused they don’t know where to start.

So, I’ve started my own program using many of FlyLady’s methods to get my home (and life) in order.  This blog is my chronicle of the progress I hope to make.  Wish me luck!
